Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to your burning questions. Well, just the ones related to The Craftery.
How exactly does this work?
You can view our craft menu online for a list of available projects or wait until you arrive to view the menu and project examples. You don’t have to choose your project ahead of time.
When you arrive, our host and craft guides will get you started. You choose a project and customization. Your craft guide gathers your supplies and delivers everything you need to complete your project – including a detailed tutorial – right to your table.
Crafts are self-led, but our craft guides will be available to place drink orders, answer project questions, assist when needed, and basically cheer you on. You’ll leave with a fully completed project. We knew you could do it!
Please note, every reservation requires one craft purchase per person. Reservations are not prepaid tickets. When you arrive at The Craftery, you will open a tab with your credit card and then pay at the end of your session.

What’s the difference between the various craft sessions?
*At this time, we are open Tuesday – Sunday, but we can take private reservations and groups during off hours, just email to inquire: hello@thecrafterybar.com *
Our Crafternoons, Craft Nights, and Makers with Mimosas are the same basic session but with different hours, prices, and specials. The reservation page is the best way to see the price for the particular session and date you are interested in.
Our Specialty Sessions offer a fun alternative to our regular craft menu. They feature unique projects, seasonal crafts, and partnerships with other local creatives & businesses. Pro tip: Follow The Craftery on social or sign up for our newletter to get first dibs on booking a spot for these super fun sessions.
What’s included in the craft price?
Everything you need to create, customize, and complete your craft. You’ll leave your session with a finished project. Please note that drinks are sold separately and are not included in the price of your craft, unless specifically noted.
Do I need to make a reservation?
We do accept walk-in guests, but space availability varies based on reservations. We highly recommend reserving a seat before your craft session sells out and to guarantee that your group can sit together. Check out our reservation page or email us at hello@thecrafterybar.com to make a reservation.
How many people can be in a reservation?
For a regular session (and not a private party or event) we have 10 seats per table and can easily accommodate a group of 10. For larger groups (10+), or inquiries about private group events, email us at hello@thecrafterybar.com to discuss how we can help accommodate you and your crew. One person can make a reservation for the entire group, or individuals can make separate reservations and just list their friends’ names in the space provided on the reservation form. Each guest can pay separately upon arrival. 18% gratuity will be added for groups of 8 or more.
Will our group be able to sit together?
You will be separated and forced to make new friends. Just kidding. One person can make a reservation for the entire group, or individuals can make separate reservations and just list their friends’ names in the space provided on the reservation form. We’ll be sure to seat you together at the same table. Without reservations, seating is on a first come, first served basis.
Does everyone in our group have to make the same craft?
Nope. Everyone can choose their own projects and customizations.
How do I change my reservation?
Please email us at hello@thecrafterybar.com or call us at (502) 694-4097 to request any changes to your existing reservation.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask that you contact us 24 hrs prior to the event for any changes or cancellations.
Can I rent The Craftery out for a private event?
Absolutely! We host bachelorette/bachelor parties, birthday parties, baby showers, work events, networking events, and even birthday parties. If you’d like more information on booking an event, please email us at audrie@thecrafterybar.com and we will be happy to host you!
Do I have to be 21 to enter?
No, but please remember that we are a bar and will be serving drinks to guests 21 and older. Our space is best suited for older kids, teens, and adults. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We do offer a fun selection of mocktails and other non-alcoholic beverages as well.
Are you kid-friendly?
Personally, yes. But in this space, the crafts are definitely geared for older kids/teens and adults. Anyone under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, and must be accompanied by an adult.
Are there risks involved with the craft sessions?
There are always risks when hammers, sharp tools, and drills are involved. We carefully plan our crafts to mitigate those risks. If your craft involves dyes or paint, there’s a risk of staining, so please consider your attire (aprons are provided). If you have breathing or other health-related issues, please contact us ahead of your session so we can talk about whether that craft session is appropriate for you.
Can I bring food?
Sure! We don’t serve food, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Just know that more food on your craft table = less room for crafting, so please be mindful of leaving enough room to work on your project.
If you’re thinking “food spread” for a group, we’re thinking “private party.” So consider booking a private event, and we’ll arrange a set up that works for everyone.
Can I bring alcohol?
That’s a hard no. The good news is we offer a full bar – including mocktails and soda – so we’ve got your drink needs covered.
Do I need to tip my craft guide and bartender?
Tipping is certainly up to you. That being said, your craft guide and bartender have one goal – to make your experience relaxed, fun, and productive. They get you settled in, fill and deliver craft kit and drink orders, assist with projects, cheer you on as you craft your heart out, and much more. Personally, we tip for great service (18-20% gratuity recommended). We hope you will, too. Note that an 18% gratuity will be added to groups of 8 or more and any unclosed tabs at closing time.
Why is there a service fee on my check and what is it for?
All checks include a 5% service fee. 100% of the service fee is paid to our staff in the form of higher wages. This fee ensures all members of our team are paid a reliable & equitable living wage. Tipping additionally is optional.
I’m coming with a group, and I don’t craft. Help?
We believe in your craft ability, friend. Everyone can connect with their innate ability to create, and we’ve made this space just for you. Pick a simpler project or go all in on a big one and know that we’re here to help. You can do this!
